customers.

all suitable desktop and wireless SIP devices and even mobile apps.
- Optimum call quality.
- Your
Fonzer ICT partner takes care of the installation and service.
2. Which phones can you use?
For VoIP
telephony you need suitable phones, the so-called SIP phones. SIP phones work
the same as your traditional phones, only you connect them to your internet
connection. Your Fonzer ICT partner supplies all the necessary VoIP equipment
such as telephones, routers, accessories and more.
- You can
easily connect fixed SIP phones to your workplace(s), thanks to the
PC internet connection you don't even need extra cables. Your SIP phone is
simply connected to your network and then you can connect your PC to the
phone.
- Wireless SIP phones (IP-DECT): Do you need
more freedom of movement? Then choose a cordless telephone. A combination
of a fixed and a cordless telephone is also possible. One or more base
stations are placed in your office and on your desk there is only the
charger for the handset. Only the base station needs internet access, so
you can use a cordless phone perfectly well if you do not have an internet
connection at all your workstations.
3. Qaller and Qaller Plus: your mobile app to control your PBX or even to use as a softphone
Are you not able to log on to the Fonzer telephone exchange and do you
want to change something in your call route? Do this quickly and easily via
smartphone or tablet with Qaller. Fonzer already offers unsurpassed ease of
use, with Qaller it will be even easier to change your telephone accessibility.
Manage call forwarding to your own mobile number, another (external) number, to
one of your voicemail boxes or manage flow control. Qaller is also secure: you
decide which employees get access to the app. Whenever, wherever. Quickly and
easily. This offers freedom and independence. And that is what you are looking
for.
The application is completely free to download for Android and iPhone.
If you also want to use
this app to make and receive calls while keeping your company identity, choose
Qaller Plus. You can choose which devices you want to ring. With this extra
feature you can switch the Qaller Plus function on or off with one click or
combine it with a fixed line (device) and/or Web Calls.
You will pay a one-time activation fee and a monthly fee per user.
4. Web Calls
Browser-based
calling is the new feature in Cloud Telephony. It allows you to make and
receive calls without a fixed telephone. The only thing you need is a browser
and possibly a headset.
Via the user
panel you can choose which devices you want to ring.
With this extra feature you can switch the browser function on or off with one
click or combine it with a fixed line and/or Qaller Plus.
In addition, you can use the widgets in the dashboard to directly click the
phone numbers to initiate a call.
A
synchronisation with an external phone list or contacts from your CRM/ERP
platform? Of course!
This feature requires a one-time activation fee and a monthly fee per
user.
5. Call2Teams
With a simple add-on for Office 365, connect any PBX phone system to
Microsoft Teams in minutes so you can make and receive both internal and
external calls on any device with the Microsoft Teams app.
Next to a Microsoft Teams licence (+ Phone license) this feature
requires a monthly fee per user.
6. Tringer
Tringer - Click2Dial/Phonebook allows you to click on any phone link on your
computer. With our Click2Dial feature, you simply click on the phone number and
the phone starts ringing. Fonzie manages your company phonebook and integrates
seamlessly with Office 365 and Google. You can even add your personal contacts
and addresses in your private Fonzie space. A sync with an external phonebook
or import from an external phone list...? No problem at all!
Tringer - Softphone
Moreover, Tringer can be an all-round softphone with additional features!
7. Telephone centre functionalities
Fonzer's online
telephone exchange (hosted PBX) already offers many professional telephony
functionalities. Is that not enough for you? Then expand it with additional
features.
Standard features:
- English operation: the operation pages
of the Fonzer control unit are available in English. This is clear and
pleasant to work with, but no need to worry, there is a wide choice of
other languages available.
- Call forwarding:
have calls forwarded to e.g. your mobile number. You can use several call
forwarders in a row and even redirect calls to your personal number in
case of internal numbers.
- Voicemail: offers your caller
the option of leaving a message.
- Voicemail to email: recorded voicemails
are sent to one or more email addresses.
- Announcement (sound): Speak announcement
texts yourself and set them up as greetings, as announcements before a
transfer or as final announcements.
- Automatic day/night
mode: easily
set day/night time schedules yourself. Optimise your accessibility at
different times: in/out of office hours, holidays, meetings, etc...
- Holiday filter: in no time at all
you have set up your holiday forwarding for the whole year! Very easy and well-organised.
- Hunt groups: allow multiple
devices and external (mobile) numbers to ring at the same time. You can
also have devices ring one at a time, or one extra at a time.
- Short numbers: create short numbers
for your business contacts and other contacts. You will then not have to
remember or dial their long company or mobile numbers.
- Flow Control: A flow control is an
action (e.g. transfer to mobile/voicemail/a separate routing for
contingencies/Team meeting) that you can switch on and off with a code or
a press of a button. Ideal for ad-hoc changes even when you are mobile.
- Prefix (route labels): see which number is
calling you (e.g. business or mobile) or via which choice or route the
caller reaches you so that you can answer the call appropriately. You will
see the prefix on your phone's screen before the caller's number. You can set the prefix yourself.
- Qaller Smartphone App: control your
switchboard from your smartphone: forwarding to mobile, voicemail or an
external number, and switch flow controls on or off for full control!
- Call- and GroupPickup: Pull a call that is
ringing on another phone to your phone. You can also create user groups so
that you only pick up calls within that group. (Group Pickup)
- HotDesking: flexible workplaces?
Log on to a workstation's phone and it behaves completely like your phone
(short number, identity, etc.).
- Busy Lamp Field (BLF): see the lights on
your phone whether your colleagues are available or busy. You can also
take a call that is ringing on their extension.
- Auto Provisioning: Let the telephone
switchboard set up your telephone automatically! Available for various
brands and types.
- Security: security is a top
priority. For example, we use automatic limits on an hourly, daily, weekly
and monthly basis, destination limits and the possibility to set the IP
address from which your phones can be used. A safe feeling.
- Your own music on hold: Are you putting
someone on hold? He or she will hear music from your on hold music
library. Including music rights (UNISONO - Sabam/Simim).
Do you need
more functionality? Then expand your telephone exchange with our features.
That way, you'll have exactly the additional functionality you need.
Additional features:
- Faxbox: With a faxbox, you
can receive and send faxes. For this, you no longer need a physical fax
machine, everything goes via Internet.
Do you still use a fax machine or is your fax number still on your e-mail
signature and letter paper? Then you can keep the fax number and incoming
faxes will be sent
to your e-mail address. Incoming faxes will arrive as PDFs at one or more
email addresses. If you want to send a fax, you can upload the file to be
faxed as a PDF document on the telephone exchange. The message then
arrives at your contact as a fax. This way, you can receive and send faxes
without a fax machine. Faxing is no longer one of the primary necessities
of life in companies, but in many industries faxes are still used on a
daily basis, for example, in the legal profession, the notary's office,
the care sector, etc. Your facilities are fully up-to-date to meet these
needs.
- Selection menu (IVR): guide callers directly
to the right employee or department with a smart phone menu. Callers
immediately get the right department on the line and appreciate this. The
phone time is shorter and there are fewer transfers: this increases
efficiency. Professional, pleasant for your customer, efficient with fewer
transfers and shorter calls. Your PBX adds value...
Calls can go straight to a menu, or only ring a few times if there is no
answer. The trick is to design it cleverly and well: the number of options
and the follow-up behind them ensure a fast response and optimal
accessibility.
- Queue: a queue allows you to
answer and respond to all callers.
Sometimes the telephone can be very busy. Do you want to give every caller
the attention they deserve? Then a call queue is the solution: fair and
professional! The caller is greeted and waits pleasantly, with music,
until it is his or her turn. With Fonzer, a call queue is just a few
clicks away. Fonzer offers a lot of control over how incoming calls are
processed. You can also set
a maximum waiting time to prevent endless waiting! Your callers know where
they stand and your staff can help your customers properly, that's a
win-win.
- Call Recording: with call recording
you can record your telephone conversations and listen to them again. The
call recording function can be switched on and off for each user. You can
choose whether all calls are recorded or whether you switch the recording
on and off during a call. Recorded calls can be listened to and downloaded
from the telephone exchange. Call recording offers solutions for specific
sectors and is an excellent tool for training and education. After all,
many conversations are worth listening to again, for reasons of importance
or diversity of content. Whether for training, further elaboration,
guidance or the fulfilment of agreed verbal undertakings: it is often
ideal if you have this option...
Fonzer offers conversation recording at the push of a button: switch
recording on, determine the number of retention days (7, 30, 90 and 180),
and you're done. The call recording subscription is calculated based on
the set retention period.
8. Frequently asked questions about VoIP
For VoIP
telephony you need a number of things to be able to call. Firstly, of course, a
telephone number where you can be reached. In addition, the internet connection
and the associated (network) equipment are of great importance. You need a
stable internet connection with sufficient bandwidth. You need approximately
100Kbit/second per call. In practice, this means that you can make about 8
calls at 1Mb upload speed.
In short, VoIP
is calling over the Internet. Previously, you needed ISDN or analogue lines to
call over this, but with VoIP these become superfluous. From now on, you
connect a telephone to your internet connection. These phones log on to the
online telephone exchange on the Internet.
Fonzer is
extremely reliable. In the unlikely event that your internet connection fails,
the telephone exchange will automatically switch to your mobile number if you
wish. If you are very dependent on your internet connection, you can consider
taking a backup connection. With a special router you can combine both
connections and if one connection fails, the other will automatically take over
the traffic.
- Is VOIP an
alternative for my ISDN lines?
Do you have one
or more ISDN connections and a telephone exchange? Then Fonzer is certainly a
good alternative. Fonzer offers you a full alternative to ISDN. Moreover,
Fonzer is very flexible (think of working from home or moving) and often much
cheaper. Port your current telephone numbers or request new ones. Each number
has an unlimited number of lines. An advanced online telephone exchange (hosted
PBX) provides you with all the desired functionalities.
- Does VOIP
offer sufficient functionality?
With Fonzer,
you really don't have to compromise on functionality. Via an advanced online
telephone exchange (hosted PBX), you have access to numerous professional
features for which you used to need your own (expensive) telephone exchange.
You and your ICT partner receive personal log-in details for the telephone
exchange on which you can log in via the Internet.
9. Questions about changing supplier
Number porting
is the transfer of your current telephone numbers to another provider. We
arrange this for you. Make sure you include all relevant numbers and ranges,
these can also be lines for a lift, doorbell etc. applications. Never cancel
your subscription yourself in advance, there is a chance that your numbers will
expire. Also make sure you keep your internet subscription with your current
provider.
- Can I keep
my phone numbers?
Yes, of course
you can keep your current telephone numbers. After moving (porting) your
numbers you of course have to cancel your current contract, don't forget this.
So you can keep the dial-in numbers of your ISDN subscription, you can choose
which ones. Number ranges can only be transferred in their
entirety.
- Can I also
request new telephone numbers?
Yes, you can
apply for several new phone numbers at Fonzer. Most phone numbers are usually
available within 24 hours and can be used to make calls immediately.
- Do I
keep the other numbers if I do not port them?
No, the numbers
you do not port are irrevocably lost. You should therefore decide in advance
which numbers you want to keep.
- Will I
remain reachable during the transfer?
You can still
be reached during the period of the porting request. Before we port the numbers,
your ICT partner will first make sure that your new equipment is working at
your location. Once this has been tested, the transfer will be initiated and
you will be assured of a quick transfer from your previous operator to Fonzer.
At the time of the porting itself, your company or organisation will be
unreachable for incoming calls for between 30 and 120 minutes, depending on the
number of numbers to be ported.
- Will the
alarm, payment terminal and franking machine continue to work over VOIP?
If your alarm,
payment terminal and franking machine run over ISDN lines, they will not work.
Nowadays, you can easily convert a payment terminal and franking machine to an
IP model. Your alarm system can do this too, but you will need an extra IP
module for this. Your alarm installation can of course continue to run over an
analogue line. Please contact your supplier
beforehand.
- Can I also
call alarm and 0900 numbers with VOIP?
Yes, you can
call all information and service numbers.
- Which
Internet connection is most suitable for VOIP?
Practically any
recent broadband Internet connection is suitable. Your modem, router and/or
firewall are the most important factors in the operation of VoIP. Not all
devices allow VoIP traffic to pass through properly. If your equipment is not VoIP-capable or has
not been set up correctly for VoIP traffic, you may experience problems such as
poor sound quality, non-working overview keys (BLFs), or even dropped calls.
Fonzer therefore advises to have this checked by your ICT partner prior to
installation, depending on the possibilities at your address.
