Qaller App - installation on Android

Qaller App - installation on Android

Installing the Qaller App

To use the application, you need access to the web interface of the User or Company panel of your Cloud PBX.

Go to the app store on your phone and download the app. It is also possible to download the app from the following website:

https://qallerapp.com/

When installing the Qaller app on Android, it is essential that all settings are correct, here is another step-by-step description of everything.

1. Allow access to your accounts or phone calls

At the "Permissions Required" or "Phone Permissions" prompt, choose "OK".

Then you will be asked for certain permissions, which you will have to confirm each time.
Note: this screen may be different on different Android devices.

2. Allow notifications/incoming calls

Make sure that in App Settings > Notifications > notifications for Incoming calls are allowed.

3. Battery optimisation

  • For Android, all applications are configured by default to use the battery optimally. Therefore, applications are closed in the background. In order to receive incoming calls in the background, you must therefore allow the application to remain active in the background.
As an Android user, look for Qaller in the settings to disable battery optimisation for this application.

    • Go to the mobile device settings
    • Find 'Qaller'
    • Set Qaller to: 'Do not optimise'

4.  Is the Persistant Qaller channel enabled?

This setting can be found in the app's settings > Notification.
The persistent Qaller channel is in the list of notifications. The process should preferably be enabled to give the Qaller app a 'warm' start and immediately receive and answer an incoming call.

In general, even when the persistent Qaller channel is not enabled, the app will receive an incoming call (but since it is a 'cold' start, it may take up to 4-5 seconds for the app to wake up). Combined with certain phone settings (such as battery settings), it can lead to unseasonably long app wake-up times.
